More than a magazine.

Season Magazine is a student-run fashion and lifestyle publication at Indiana University, bringing together students passionate about fashion, photography, design, and storytelling.

I joined Season Magazine as a freshman, initially drawn to the creative work and the community surrounding it. As I became more involved, I started imagining new ways the magazine could connect with students and how its content could evolve.

In my second year, I took responsibility for video content, giving me the opportunity to bring more of those ideas to life. By my third year, I had become Director of Marketing, leading a 10-person team and overseeing the magazine's marketing direction across platforms.

Bringing each issue to life.

Every issue of Season gave us a new opportunity to connect with students beyond the pages of the magazine.

I worked with our team to develop promotional campaigns, coordinate content, and support publication launches. From campus activations to branded merchandise and social media, we looked for ways to make Season something students could experience, not just read.

Leading those efforts meant balancing creative ideas with timelines, responsibilities, and the work required to bring everything together.

Season Wants to Know.

An original idea to bring the magazine closer to its audience.

I wanted to find a way for Season to feel more connected to the students we were trying to reach.

That led me to create Season Wants to Know, an Instagram Stories interview series featuring students around campus.

Instead of another traditional promotional post, the series gave students a chance to be part of the content. It was a simple idea, but one that made the magazine feel more conversational, personal, and connected to its audience.

What I took away.

Season was my first real leadership experience, and it taught me that having a vision is only part of the challenge.

I learned how to evaluate ideas, recognize what mattered most, and bring together different creative perspectives into one shared direction. Some of the best work came from combining ideas I wouldn't have thought of on my own.

What I enjoyed most was helping turn those individual contributions into something we could create together.
