01

A semester, through my lens.

During my semester in Barcelona, I was selected as an IES Abroad TikTok Social Ambassador, creating videos that gave prospective students a firsthand look at studying abroad.

Working within the program's content guidelines, I shared everything from everyday routines and local discoveries to the experiences that made the semester memorable.

The challenge was finding a balance between representing IES Abroad and creating content that still felt like me.

02

Making the experience relatable.

Working within IES Abroad's content guidelines, I created videos that reflected my own experiences, interests, and personality.

My content included everyday routines, local discoveries, food, travel, and time with friends, offering prospective students a firsthand look at what studying abroad could be like.

03

What I took away.

Living in Barcelona changed how I think about connecting with people. Even everyday interactions challenged me to communicate across different languages, experiences, and perspectives.

I discovered that finding common ground often starts with being curious about someone else's world rather than assuming they see things the way I do.

Creating content for IES Abroad gave me another opportunity to apply that perspective. It made me think more carefully about who I was trying to reach, what they might want to understand, and how to tell a story that could connect with someone whose experiences were different from mine.
