Beyond the Numbers.
My background in Accounting and International Business has given me an analytical foundation that I enjoy applying to real business challenges. These projects bring together financial analysis, data visualization, and practical problem-solving, from improving everyday business operations to understanding what drives corporate performance.
01
Proof Bar & Eatery
Real-world application
Making the Numbers Work Smarter.
Excel / Financial Operations / Process Improvement
The Challenge
Proof Bar & Eatery needed a more consistent way to organize financial records and understand profitability without relying as heavily on outside accounting support.
The Analysis & Solution
I managed accounts payable and receivable and developed an Excel-based bookkeeping system that standardized financial entries and automated profitability reporting.
The system made it easier to maintain consistent records, track financial activity, and access information needed to manage the business.
What stayed with me was seeing how a relatively simple change in the way information was organized could make a real difference in how a business operates.

Intel Financial Performance Analysis
Project-based coursework · Completed as a class project
Understanding Performance in Context.
Power BI / Financial Benchmarking / Competitive Analysis
The Challenge
How did Intel's financial performance evolve over time, and how did it compare with other companies in the semiconductor industry?
The Analysis
Using Power BI, I examined profitability, leverage, capital investment, and research and development trends to understand Intel's financial performance relative to industry peers.
Rather than looking at individual financial measures in isolation, I wanted to understand how they connected and what they revealed about the company's overall position.
The biggest takeaway was the importance of looking at performance in context. A company's numbers can be moving in the right direction while still revealing challenges relative to the broader market.
03
Manufacturing Cost Analysis
Project-based coursework · Completed as a class project
Finding the Drivers Behind the Numbers.
Power BI / Cost Variance / Operational Analysis
The Challenge
Which manufacturing cost categories contributed most significantly to cost variances?
The Analysis
Using Power BI, I examined direct labor, materials, manufacturing overhead, and cost trends to identify the factors contributing to differences between expected and actual costs.
The goal was to move beyond identifying that a variance existed and better understand where it originated.
The biggest takeaway was that identifying a cost variance is only the starting point. Understanding what's driving it is what allows a business to make more informed decisions about where to focus its attention.
What Connects the Work.
Whether I'm improving a financial process or analyzing a company's performance, I enjoy figuring out what the numbers are telling me.
What interests me most isn't just finding the answer. It's understanding why something is happening and how that information can help someone make a better decision.
